She Lost Her Soul To Her Demons

She'll never forget all the times her heart felt ripped out of her chest, 

Like there was no air left for her to breathe, 

No hope left to make things better, 

To make life worth carrying on. 

All those demons seemed impossible to part with, 

An omnipresent reminder of mistakes, regrets and sins 

Her lost soul had made 

And memories she felt bound to hold on to.

The Lost One

She wanders,

Searching

For a solemn place

For her 

& her beer.

An oasis

Between the people

Rushing by,

Without a glance 

At the sky.

Just walking

Straight,

Without taking in

Their surroundings

Or her.

There she sits alone

With her beer,

Waiting

For nothing,

Just watching.

Trying to understand

The world,

The people.

But her thoughts 

Are all so loud.

Hating you more than myself

After this mess, this tornado in me 

Heart puked out of my body

Soul lost in the gloom of wintertime

Being alone empties my mind

Head spinning and thoughts too loud

In the emptiness peace is found

Hollow and shallow but free

That's what my heart, mind and body seem to be

Seeing the light but not being there

Reaching for it but not far enough

It's really a pity you didn't care

Because hating you more than myself is kinda rough
